This is basically a true story. Every week or so, a random teenager will pop up on my Twitter stream, bitching about “Mr. Sporkman,” who – if I’ve read these tweets correctly – is their gym teacher. I feel like that’s somehow appropriate for OUR Sporkman, should he ever enter the field of teaching.
Creepy Sporkman is the best. I like that he’s now countless decades old but still has no concept of how normal people are supposed to behave. EDIT: Sporkman has to return to its previous “completely random” schedule for the time being. Sorry! I wrote just a little about it here.
I no longer have any concept of what is or isn’t real in this comic anymore.
So yeah, we’ve switched over to a Tuesday / Thursday schedule. I needed to buy myself a little extra time. Also, I did indeed cut short any potential Disneyland stories. I figured you could live without me making lots of a stupid in-jokes about the happiest place on Earth.
Everything in the Twilight Zone’s gym is painfully ironic. Make of that what you will. Also, a quick note: Sporkman is going Tuesday / Thursday starting next week. I just need to cut one strip a week from my schedule. There’s no larger conspiracy. See ya Tuesday.
And thus begins a series based upon my adventures about a month and a half ago. Because, once again, Sporkman is nothing if not a thinly-veiled blog comic.
Once again, Sporkman is at his best when he’s apparently in kindergarten. Actually, in many ways, Sporkman is my (unintentional) riff on Captain Marvel, albeit without the Wisdom of Solomon.
My favorite strips are the ones with Sporkman at his most childlike, and it doesn’t get more childlike that this. Sidenote: You can be forgiven if you forgot or never even noticed before, but Molly actually originated in this series, waaaay back in October 2008, predating her staring role in Lit Brick by almost two [...]

This is technically a flashback. I wanted to do a short series of strips that sort of explained why Sporkman inexplicably appeared in Lit Brick around the end of 2012, so here ya go. Also, I just like drawing Molly.
